Aplines // Why ft. Maya Jane Coles

If you haven't guessed already, I'm a huge trip hop fan. 'Huge' meaning if trip hop was Justin Bieber, I would have been one of those belieber's cutting for Bieber. Okay, maybe not that far but you get my point.

Alpines is one of those bands who are never hit and miss; they are always hit. The U.K. duo, Robert Matthews and Catherine Pockson got together in 2010 and have released 2 EP's, Night Drive (2011) and Early Hours (2012). Since supporting Florence and the Machine at the Alexandra Palace, they've had a fair bit of popularity, but just not enough to get away from being a small blip on the world's music radar. In saying that, give them a bit of lovin' and check out their Bandcamp site.

Why is a collaboration with Maya Jane Coles, featuring her enchanting voice and the signature Alpines production sound. You'll hear this song and instantly wish you were sitting in a chill lounge somewhere sipping on cider or champagne.
